A meeting [28 Nov 2005|11:59pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

~October 9, 1914, late afternoon~

Two days couldn't have gone by any slower in the eldest Tringham's mind. The younger brother also couldn't wait, if only for the aspect that soon (hopefully) they would be able to return home.

After a few minor troubles getting in at first, the brothers finally found themselves standing just outside of the Fuhrer's office. The boy's both gave each other one last glance, then Russell lifted his hand, placing a firm knock on the wooden door.

Exploring the city a bit [16 Nov 2005|02:35am]
[ mood | awake ]

~October 8, 1914 - Midday~

The night spent at the hotel was so much better than Russell had even planned to expect. He and his brother each had a nice soft bed to sleep on, and the view of the city at night had just been gorgeous. Yes indeed, he could certainly get used to this.

Glancing to where his younger brother had passed out on the bed the night before, Russell found that Fletcher was still sound asleep even now. The blonde paused for a moment, smiling as he moved over to the bed. "Just one more day." He spoke softly, ruffling the sleeping boy's hair. He stood back up now and stretched out.

Well, even if Fletcher was going to sleep the day away now, the elder brother had no intentions of keeping himself cooped up in a room when he could go out to take in the city on a more personal level. Perhaps he could even pick up a few more books to study while he was out. Digging around the room for a moment, he was able to scrounge up a pen and sheet of paper, scrawling out a message for Fletcher should he wake up before he got back.

Just gone out for a quick walk. Will be back before you know it.

Satisfied, Russell left the note on the edge of his own bed, grabbing a small envelope that he had recieved upon his arrival the night before. He quietly left the room and made his way out of the hotel into the already bustling streets. If it was one thing he did like more about Xenotime, it was the fact that everything seemed to flow at a more leisurely pace. There was no need for running around, hurrying to get things finished. And for a moment, he almost caught himself wishing he was back home. That thought was quickly hidden away, the same way he had discreetly pocketed his spending allowance as he turned to walk along the sidewalk.

~October 7, 1914 - Late Afternoon~ [06 Nov 2005|04:56am]
[ mood | contemplative ]

An anxious Russell Tringham now stood just outside of a rather large hotel, obsessively folding and unfolding the piece of napkin on which the name of aforementioned hotel was written. The boy was a bit unsure of this, despite all of the reassurance that the Fuhrer had given him.

Summoning up all the will power he could he stepped towards the door, knowing that once he went in there and took the room that Bradley was giving him for now, there was likely no turning back. This reminded him of the situation in Xenotime yes, but Russ was foolhardy enough to believe that he could get away should this take a likely turn for the worse.

The younger of the two brothers didn't budge at first, making a small sound of protest. Russell paused and looked back at his sibling, letting out a quiet sigh. "Look, I know you're worried about this. I am too." He started as the young blonde pouted.

"Then just say no and let's go back home."

The elder just shook his head slightly. "I can't just say no Fletcher. It's not that simple." He moved back over to his little brother, kneeling down so that they would be eye to eye. "If things get bad, I promise I'll get you out. I'm not going to let anything hurt you alright?"

Fletcher opened his mouth as though to speak, but instead let off a quiet sigh before nodding. In return he got a small pat on the shoulder as Russell stood back upright and turned to walk inside again. "Let's go in and make ourselves comfortable. We still have a couple of days before we have to meet with the Fuhrer again." That said he now made his way inside and to the front desk to recieve his room key.

[ mood | annoyed and concerned ]

~October 7, 1914, Mid-morning~

I'm going to beat some sense into him once I find him.

That likely wouldn't happen though.

It hadn't taken the blonde very long to realize that his younger brother was missing, and after a quick little round of investigating had learned that the before-mentioned brother had taken it upon himself for some reason to go to Central. Alone. And that was what was eating Russell up right now as he stepped off the train and onto the platform. He had managed to lose track of the only family he had left.

The tall boy raised his hand as he exited the train station, lifting a mass of blonde locks to reveal both silvery blue eyes that were narrowed in deep thought. For some time now after he had ran into the true Elric brothers, he had been planning to come here and attempt to get state certification. But Russell already knew that he needed a lot more studying under his belt, and in fact, he had been holed up studying at the time that Fletcher had decided to run off for whatever his reason might be.

"Here just a bit sooner than I would have liked." He remarked lowly under his breath, picking a street to start walking down. Hopefully it wouldn't take him too long to find Fletcher. After all, there was much work to be done back home.
